Academic Exchange Program Medicine is an educational project during which each year KMU students are selected and invited to follow a trimester of the second year of the Medical curriculum at the LUMC. This project gives the opportunity to Afghan medical students to participate in the Dutch educational system and apply their experiences in Afghanistan. In addition, this project offers the opportunity for Dutch students to extend their medical knowledge, expand their understanding of cultural diversity and share their experiences with the Afghan students. This project has been started in 2009 and is still running. This year’s Academic Exchange Medicine has come to an end and the exchange students have received their certificates.
The ceremony took place at the Embassy of Afghanistan in the Netherlands. H.E. Enayatullah Nabiel, Ambassador of Afghanistan to the Netherlands, Honorary Consul-General Mr Turabaz together with the board of KEIHAN Foundation proudly handed out certificates to the students. The exchange students have successfully participated in the program at the LUMC, where they gained excellent grades. KEIHAN Foundation congratulates the students and wishes them all the best in the further pursuance of their medical career in Afghanistan. Continuation of this project for the next 5 years will provide a great possibility and motivation for the Afghan students to prove their talents, to learn and to rebuild their country. KEIHAN Foundation would be honored to receive any form of support in order to invest and to expand this exchange program.
